Question - Light rail

1.  How many journeys were taken on Canberra's public transport system, for each year annually from 2011-2022.
2. How many people in Canberra use public transport in a given year, for each year annually, from 2011-2022 (not including boardings or journeys, but the number of unique individuals who used public transport in a given year. 
3. How many Myway cards were used on public transport in a given year, for each year annually from 2011-2022.
4. What is the total population of Canberra, for each year annually, from 2011-2002.

(2) There is no mandatory requirement to register a MyWay Card to facilitate travel. Approximately 20% of all active MyWay cards are registered by individual travellers.  MyWay cards have the ability to be shared, and individuals may hold more than one card. For these reasons, data on the number of individual people travelling cannot be determined through ticket or MyWay transactions.

(3) Please refer to the below table for unique MyWay card usage on whole of public transport per fiscal year.

1) unique card use differentiates one card from another only and may not represent unique users (because it is possible for a customer to possess more than card at any time). 

2) We do not require MyWay cards to be registered and thus we cannot reliably differentiate one card from another based on unique identity. 

3) Data is extracted from NetBI based on information captured via the MyWay system and presents data as captured.
