Question asked
- Is there anything that can be done to introduce additional on-street parking along Gozzard Street, given that members of the Gungahlin community have raised concerns about parking, safety and business viability in and around Swain Street and Gribble Street in Gungahlin.
- Is there anything that can be done to provide specific parking bays for delivery vehicles, like food deliveries, given that disabled owners in some of the apartment buildings have experienced repeated difficulties receiving grocery delivers due to the lack of safe and lawful delivery access and Australia Post has refused to deliver to one apartment building, citing access and parking limitations.
- Does the Government have any understanding as to the barriers for business and why businesses aren't taking up commercial enterprises in the area, including whether floorplan and space is a barrier, given that due to inadequate parking and poor access, commercial spaces have remained vacant for over 2 years.
- Can the Minister provide information on the long-term plan for 100 Swain Street, which is an undeveloped piece of land, and whether there is any appetite to use this as temporary parking.
