Question asked
- How many high schools and colleges do not have a dedicated school bus, as is the case with Hawker college despite students petitioning the Government last year to ask for one, and which, under the current timetable, leaves students having to waste a considerable amount of time in their week waiting for the next bus and missing connections at the interchange with the public route 45 passing Hawker College and travelling towards the Belconnen interchange one minute before the school day ends (at 15:29).
- Was there coordination with school end times when deciding route times where there isn’t a dedicated school route and students are expected to use the public route.
- How many minutes after school ends (which varies by school and sometimes by day) until the bus comes for each of the schools referred to in part (1).
- Can the Minister list the times referred to in part (3) for each direction, noting the bus may go in either direction, such as in the case of Hawker College, towards Kippax and towards the Belconnen interchange.
