Answer

(1) Roads ACT often undertakes immediate repair of path defects using grinding or cold mix (where there are trip hazards). This ensures the asset is in serviceable condition and any immediate safety hazards are removed. The repair work near 27 Ida Birchall Crescent was an example of this treatment.

After the immediate repair work, full concrete panel replacement will then be considered (timeframe will be dependent on the priority level) in future. These works are generally delivered in work packages for efficiency. The concrete path work near 68 Chewing Street was an example of this treatment.

(2) Please refer to response for question (1) above.

(3) The concrete repairs work at Chewing Street cost $2,626.44 (incl. GST) and the work at Ida Birchall Crescent cost $1,371.15 (incl. GST).

(4) The Roads ACT branch of TCCS organised the repair work, with the work undertaken by external contractors in this instance.
