- Can the Minister provide an updated list of all demountable classrooms in use at ACT Public Schools including (a) at which school they are located in, (b) when they were constructed, (c) when they were installed in their current schools, (d) how long they are intended to be in their current locations and (e) how much longer each classroom is expected to remain in use.
- Does the directorate have a policy on how long a demountable classroom can remain in use or how many times it can be used.
- Is it the position of the Education Directorate that a demountable classroom provides an educational environment of the same quality as a permanent classroom.
- How many complaints has the directorate received about demountable classrooms over the past five years.
- How many of the complaints referred to in part (4) relate to (a) heating or cooling in demountable classrooms, (b) noise or soundproofing issues in demountable classrooms and (c) the impact demountables have on outdoor or green space, or access to playgrounds.
- Does the directorate intend to increase, decrease or maintain the number of demountable classrooms used by public schools in the future, and what is the justification for this plan.
- Has the directorate tracked any impact demountable classrooms have had on academic performance or student wellbeing; if not, are there any intentions of looking into potential impacts.
- Has there been any demonstrated relationship between negative student wellbeing and a higher number of demountable classrooms at a single school.
