Answer
(1) A Development Application (DA-202138281) was formally lodged with the independent planning and land authority (the Authority) on 19 April 2021. In accordance with Section 138 of the Planning and Development Act 2007 (the Act), the proposal did not require pre-DA consultation as it was not of a type that is a prescribed development.
The Authority publicly notified the DA, under major notification, during the application process. The specific documents that were notified, and information on the decision, can be found on the planning website at https://www.planning.act.gov.au/development-applications-assessments/development-applications/da-details?da-number=202138281&amendment-version=.
(2) The DA was publicly notified for 15 working days, from 29 April 2021 to 19 May 2021, in accordance with Part 7 of the Act and Section 28 of the Planning and Development Regulation 2008 (the Regulation).
(3) During the notification period 43 representations were received.
(4) 56% of representors supported or partially supported the development application. Out of the 43 representations received, nine (21%) fully supported the proposal and 15 (35%) partially supported the proposal (e.g. supported the proposal but may not have supported the location).
