Question asked
- Why don't ACT road users deserve the same degree of warning when they are entering a school zone as those in other jurisdictions, where flashing lights have been installed on all school zone signs to denote that they are active.
- Why are school zones active in the ACT throughout the entire day as opposed to the segments of the morning and afternoon when children are actually leaving the school grounds as is the case in other jurisdictions.
- Why is it not the case in the ACT like it is in NSW, where it is mandated to give warning to motorists prior to where mobile speed cameras are situated.
- What is the exact number of collisions and casualties that have been prevented by not providing the warning referred to in part (3).
