(3) ACT Policing is unable to provide the number of individuals possessing a ‘small amount’ of illicit drugs that are decriminalised in the ACT who were charged or fined.  There is no way of accurately linking the drug quantities with a possession charge in the Police Real-time Online Management System (PROMIS), therefore ACT Policing is unable to ascertain if the charge was for a ‘small amount’ without performing a significant manual interrogation of the entire dataset.

(4) Between 1 January 2022 and 28 October 2023, there were 315 apprehensions containing a drug possession related charge where the charge was cleared by diversion.
