in relation to question on notice No 1 of the public hearing for the inquiry into the future of school infrastructure in the ACT,  given (a) Lake Ginninderra College applied for four upgrade projects, only one of which was committed to in the 2023-2024 Public School Infrastructure Renewal Program (PSIRP), (b) Latham Primary school requested five projects, only one of which was committed to in the 2023-2024 PSIRP, (c) Macquarie primary school requested three projects, only one of which was committed to in the 2023-2024 PSIRP, (d)  Melba Copland College requested three projects, none of which were committed to in the 2023-2024 PSIRP and (e) Melba Copland Highschool requested two projects, none of which were committed to in the 2023-2024 PSIRP, for each school/college, (i) why were the other projects not committed to, (ii) what was the assigned overall prioritisation score and risk rating for each project and (iii) when will they be delivered.

Answer

(a) Lake Ginninderra College

 

(i) Commitment was made to projects that received higher prioritisation scores.

(ii)Each project was assessed and three projects received a prioritisation score of 3.6 and a medium risk rating; the fourth project received a prioritisation score of 1.3 and a low risk rating.

(iii) One project was committed to and completed in September 2024. No decision has been made to deliver the remaining projects. 

 

(b) Latham Primary School


(i) Some projects were not committed to as they were within scope of the school’s responsibilities for providing repairs and maintenance.  The other projects were not committed to as commitment was made to projects that received higher prioritisation scores.

(ii) Each project was assessed and received a prioritisation score of 4.0 and a medium risk rating. 

(iii) One project was committed to and completed in September 2024. No decision has been made to deliver the remaining projects.


(c) Macquarie Primary School 


(iv) Commitment was made to projects that received higher prioritisation scores.

(v)Each project was assessed and received a prioritisation score of 3.6 and a medium risk rating.

(vi) One project was committed to and completed in September 2024. No decision has been made to deliver the remaining projects.

 

(d) Melba Copland College

 

(i) Commitment was made to projects that received higher prioritisation scores.

(ii) Each project was assessed and received a prioritisation score of 3.6 and a medium risk rating.

(iii) No decision has been made to deliver the remaining projects.


(e) Melba Copland High School


(i) Commitment was made to projects that received higher prioritisation scores.

(ii)Each project was assessed and received a prioritisation score of 3.6 and a medium risk rating.

(iii) One project was committed to and completed in July 2024. No decision has been made to deliver the remaining projects.
