Question asked
- Given that the Therapeutic Support Panel (TSP) has identified the need to have individualised education engagement opportunities for children and young people referred to it, can the Minister advise what meetings have occurred between the Education Directorate and the TSP and/or the Community Services Directorate in relation to the establishment of individualised education engagement opportunities for children covered by the TSP.
- What priority will the Education Directorate afford to the establishment of individualised education engagement opportunities for children covered by the TSP, considering the importance of the TSP in diverting troubled young people from anti-social or dangerous behaviours.
- Given the TSP refers to capacity constraints in the Education Directorate as impediments to the delivery of educational programmes, why will capacity constraints stand in the way of the success of the TSP.
- What will the Education Directorate do to ensure that capacity constraints are addressed and appropriate support to the TSP is provided.
