- Is the Government concerned about the lack of regulatory oversight of early childhood centres licensed under the Children and Young People Act 2008, (the CYP Act), noting they are not subject to National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Does the Government have any plans transition away from licensing early childhood centres under the CYP Act to ensure consistency of standards and regulatory oversight; if so, when.
- Which reporting requirements are centres operating under the CYP Act exempt from that NQF-approved centres are not.
- Are any additional oversight arrangements in place for centres operating under the CYP Act compared to centres subject to the NQF.
