Answer
  • The Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate offers pre-application meetings on behalf of the Territory Planning Authority and other government agencies, prior to lodgement of a development application.
  • There is no fee to book or attend a pre-application meeting, or to get a record of the meeting.
  • Alternatively, the lessee/developer may apply to EPSDD for formal written advice under the Planning Act 2023, section 164. This type of formal advice differs from a general pre-application meeting with more specific items for the Authority to assess and advise on.
  • A fee is payable for formal written pre-application advice. Currently the fee is set at $1,455.67.
